Mental health intervention for a child with DEE-SWAS: a Telehealth case study
Children with DEE-SWAS often experience sudden cognitive and behavioural regression linked to abnormal electrical activity during sleep - yet their co-occurring mental health challenges are frequently missed or unsupported. There is increasing evidence that these mental health difficulties can be treated with psychological interventions. This case study shows that an evidence-based Telehealth intervention may be beneficial for children with DEE-SWAS, and offers important insights to inform future, larger-scale trials.
